Job Summary

This Facilities Management Leader position requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in building operations and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supervising teams, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

About the Role
  • Plans, implements, coordinates, and leads all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and workforce development programs for a downtown Class A high-rise office building.
  • Coordinates maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel, and technicians, and remains current with the latest HVAC technology trends.
  • Manages inventory control programs, purchases parts and supplies, and establishes and monitors programs to ensure compliance with applicable codes and company directives.
  • Supervises employees, approves subordinate's recommendations, and prepares and delivers performance appraisals.
  • Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies and models behaviors consistent with the company's values.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of four years experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Universal CFC certification required, along with additional certifications in three or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to provide efficient, timely, and courteous service to customers.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles, with ability to calculate intermediate figures.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents and data.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is approximately $145,000 per year, based on industry standards for similar roles in Houston, TX. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
