We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team at MetOx International, Inc. in Houston, TX.

About the Role:

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead innovation efforts and drive advanced mechanical engineering expertise to improve efficiency, throughput, and overall system performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engineering Leadership
    • Leverage your expertise to design, develop, and implement mechanical systems and components that meet specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Apply advanced engineering methodologies to solve complex problems, optimize designs, and drive innovations in mechanical systems.
    • Oversee the production of detailed engineering documentation, including CAD designs, specifications, and technical reports.
    • Lead the procurement and fabrication of custom parts, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
    • Identify and implement process improvements, cost-saving measures, and performance optimizations to advance operational excellence.
  • Project Management
    • Own and manage projects from concept through implementation, overseeing planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
    • Collaborate across departments to integrate solutions into manufacturing processes.
    • Lead design reviews, provide actionable feedback, and ensure effective follow-up.
  • Team Leadership
    • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.
    • Lead and inspire a high-performing engineering team, cultivating a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience managing a Mechanical Engineering Team.
  • Prior experience in two or more of the following areas: vacuum conductance design, gas flow, heat transfer, radiation heat transfer and modeling, and CFD & FEA.
  • Hands-on experience building, testing, and/or assembling engineering equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Prior experience working with manufacturing start-ups.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
