Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Lead Professional

NOV, Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Lead Professional to lead our design team and drive innovation in mechanical engineering.

About the Role:

The Mechanical Engineering Lead Professional will be responsible for overseeing design efforts, providing engineering support, and developing innovative mechanical design solutions. This includes creating detailed drawings and designs, analyzing technical specifications, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design efforts and provide engineering support to various groups within the company.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturing, operations, vendors, sales, service, and customer groups to provide engineering support.
  • Design and develop new product designs, improvements, and changes using industry-leading software and techniques.
  • Create, review, and revise design layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, bills of material, tolerance studies, and parts lists.
  • Analyze and apply technical specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Produce detailed engineering reports documenting design efforts and results.
  • Identify opportunities for product improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Prioritize resources and projects to meet company goals and objectives.
  • Supervise and provide direction to engineers and designers as needed.
  • Provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of design experience with oilfield drilling equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with engineering standards and procedures.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a design team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in CAD software (Creo, Inventor, Solidworks) and FEA software (Ansys, Solidworks Simulation).
  • Familiarity with industry specifications (API 6A, 7K, 8C).

Salary: $140,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.
