Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Houston. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for onshore oil and gas transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sizing calculations for specialty items, including packaged equipment
  • Pipe stress analysis, pipe/valve specifications, material and coating specifications, hydrotest calculations, and BOM for purchase
  • P&ID development, hydraulic analysis, flow assurance calculations for steady-state and transient piping systems
  • Pipeline engineering, pipeline design, HDD stress calculations, hydrofracture calculations, bending and wall-thinning calculations, buoyancy, HCA/MCA/Class Locations, routing and workspace design, crossings, alignment sheet development with mapping team
  • Ensure project compliance with applicable codes and client standards
  • Interface with Design team for equipment layout, 30/60/90 model reviews, IFR and IFC development, cross-discipline checking
  • Provide progressing, scheduling, and budgeting support to Project Management team
  • Review and QA/QC all Mechanical and Piping deliverables
  • PE Sign/Seal final documentation for permits and construction, as applicable

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, Petroleum, Chemical or other degrees accepted with applicable experience
  • 5+ years of experience with midstream facilities or pipelines in the US
  • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and ability to communicate effectively
  • Travel not mandatory, but occasional site visits or client meetings may be required
  • Experience with static and rotating equipment, ASME B31.3, B31.4, and B31.8, CFR/DOT regulations, and API standards

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
