Position Overview

Job Location : Boston, MA

Compensation : $19 - $21 per hour

Work Schedule : 40 hours per week

The Pathway of Hope Initiative focuses on case management for families with children, aiming to assist them in overcoming obstacles to achieve self-sufficiency over a 6-18 month period. The primary goal is to support families in addressing their educational and employment needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver services to client families following established case management protocols.
  • Accurately maintain case records in the Service Point database.
  • Monitor statistics and manage contingency fund allocations.
  • Collaborate with the Divisional Pathway of Hope regional Coordinator and fellow case managers.

Administrative Duties

  • Respond to phone inquiries professionally, directing calls appropriately and taking messages as needed.
  • Verify visitor appointments and manage access to the facility, ensuring authorized entry.
  • Organize and maintain files related to general Corps operations, ensuring the reception area is orderly.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and manage outgoing correspondence, including deliveries.
  • Refer individuals with spiritual needs to appropriate Salvation Army personnel.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with case management principles.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and discretion when interacting with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Camp Minder is a plus (training will be provided).
  • High level of initiative and capability to work independently.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Knowledge of community resources is advantageous.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, with effective communication skills in English.
