The Blick Center is seeking a part-time Family Peer Support Specialist to join our team. As a Family Peer Support Specialist, you will provide hope, guidance, and advocacy to parents and caregivers of children and youth receiving mental health, DD services, and/or other related service systems.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver peer support through face-to-face support groups, phone calls, or individual meetings
- Bring expertise based on personal experience parenting children or youth with social, emotional, behavioral, or substance use challenges
- Provide education, information, and peer support within a peer support framework that recognizes the power of mutuality and experiential understanding
To be successful in this role, you will have personal experience in providing support to families with children or youth receiving mental health, DD services, and/or other related service systems. You will also have the ability to work within a peer support framework and provide education, information, and peer support.
What We OfferThe Blick Center offers a part-time, hourly paid position in Stark County that will be funded through a StarkMHAR (Mental Health and Recovery) Grant. Training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.
