Northrop Grumman: Pioneering the Future of Stealth Technology

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Survivability Engineer to join our team of innovators and leaders in the field of Stealth Technology. As a key member of our Survivability Engineering team, you will play a critical role in developing, testing, and implementing new materials, technologies, and concepts that enable our aircraft to penetrate and operate in enemy airspace with impunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and integrate stealth technologies to reduce the detectability of aircraft in the electromagnetic, infrared, visual, and acoustic spectrums.
  • Predict and verify the performance of stealth designs using proprietary analysis codes and physical models.
  • Optimize stealth designs to meet the requirements of all engineering disciplines while minimizing detectability.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplined team to achieve customer goals and balance design trade-offs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest classified cutting-edge technology and apply it to reduce the detectability of aircraft.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related professional/military engineering experience, or a Master's degree and 6 years of related professional/military engineering experience, or a Ph.D. and 0 years of related professional/military engineering experience.
  • Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance and ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP).
  • Experience with Northrop Grumman proprietary computational electromagnetic analysis codes or similar computational electromagnetic analysis codes used by our competitors or customers.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and technical writing skills to enable effective personal interaction and collaboration with a multi-disciplined team and customers.

  • A competitive salary range of $133,000 - $199,600.
  • A discretionary bonus and Long Term Incentives for Vice President or Director positions.
