Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Principal or Senior Principal Survivability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced stealth technology systems to reduce the detectability of aircraft in various spectrums.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and integrate stealth technology systems to reduce radar cross section and electromagnetic signature
  • Predict and verify the performance of stealth designs using proprietary analysis codes and physical models
  • Optimize stealth designs to meet customer requirements while balancing other engineering disciplines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve customer goals and balance design requirements
  • Thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations and diverse assignments
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional/military engineering experience, or a Master's degree and 3 years of related experience
  • Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
  • Experience with Northrop Grumman proprietary computational electromagnetic analysis codes or similar codes
  • Strong interpersonal communication and technical writing skills
  • Knowledge of applied electromagnetics, aircraft survivability, and electromagnetic energy transmission
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in physics, electrical engineering, or a related technical field
  • Current active U.S. Government in-scope DoD Top Secret security clearance
  • Experience with radio frequency modeling and testing of complex classified targets
  • Knowledge of requirements of other supporting engineering disciplines
