Job Title: Principal Survivability Engineer (Level 3 or 4)

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Survivability Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge stealth technology to reduce the detectability of aircraft in various spectrums.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and integrate stealth technology into aircraft systems
  • Develop and implement Radio Frequency (RF) modeling and testing of complex classified targets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize stealth goals and achieve balanced design
  • Use proprietary analysis codes to predict and verify performance of stealth designs
  • Take ownership of achieving customer goals and balancing design in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional/military engineering experience, or a Master's degree and 3 years of related professional/military engineering experience
  • Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance
  • Special Access Program (SAP)/Program Access Request (PAR) clearance
  • Strong interpersonal communication and technical writing skills
  • Knowledge of Applied Electromagnetics / Aircraft Survivability and Electromagnetic Energy transmission through space and within materials
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience using the latest classified cutting-edge technology to reduce the detectability of aircraft in various spectrums
  • Experience with Northrop Grumman proprietary computational electromagnetic analysis codes or similar codes used by competitors or customers
  • Master's degree in physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Current active U.S. Government in-scope DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)
