Job Description:

NESCO Inc is seeking a skilled Electronic Test Technician to join our team at our East Camden, Arkansas facility.

In this role, you will work with a team of technicians to test, troubleshoot and resolve issues on various types of hardware, including missile guidance sets, full-up missiles, launch containers, and large wheeled and tracked military vehicles.

Tests may involve pressure, vacuum, load testing, electronic and physical functionality, and hydraulic/pneumatic operations.

As a Test Technician, you will use hand tools to maintain test equipment, install missile or vehicle components, and mate/demate electronic contacts and cables.

You will liaise with Production Engineering and local engineering groups to troubleshoot, determine, and accurately document the causes of various test failures.

Interfacing with the US Government customer is frequently required in this position.

The current work schedule at the Camden facility is 4-10 hour days from 6am-4:30pm.

This position may require overtime relative to current schedules to meet Production needs.

Travel is generally NOT REQUIRED.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up test apparatus and conduct tests of electronic assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences.
  • Lay out and assemble units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications.
  • Adjust and calibrate systems as required.
  • Modify electronic equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and sketches.
  • Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed.
  • Determine types of tests to be performed, approve and suggest modifications to testing equipment, and analyze test results to evaluate performance of products and equipment.
  • Assist engineers in design and development of test procedures for new products and recommend product improvements or manufacturing modifications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Ability to work in an Explosive environment.
  • The ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance is required for this position.

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using a standard digital multimeter (DMM).
  • Familiarity with advanced test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital power supplies, signal generators, digital multimeters.
  • Familiarity with the mate/demate of electrical contacts and connectors.
  • Familiarity with Electrostatic Discharge and ESD mitigation principles.
  • Familiarity with working in a teaming environment.
  • Good communication skills, including interface with USG Customer.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9000 systems a plus.
  • Basic blueprint reading/understanding of schematics a plus.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite a plus.
