Key Contributions of a Construction Project Coordinator:

  • Responsibilities: Execute and apply quantity takeoffs and surveys to oversee contract progress, reporting, and change management.
  • Maintain relationships with more complex subcontracted scopes and manage subcontract administration, including defining work scope, addressing inquiries, and monitoring progress.
  • Review and comprehend broader contract obligations related to the assigned project and work scopes.
  • Assist site managers in project initiation activities.
  • Engage in reviews of subcontractors' submissions for compliance with scope, design documentation, and coordination with other disciplines prior to forwarding to the design team for their evaluation.
  • Support site inspections by the design team for installation deficiencies and oversee the commissioning of systems.
  • Identify potential risks associated with project scopes and overall project execution.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of experience in construction within an operational capacity preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, project health, safety, and environmental standards, quality, building materials, and required standards.
  • Ability to apply fundamental engineering and problem-solving principles to construction challenges.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize personal work, and manage direct-report tasks.
  • Capable of creating and leading comprehensive schedules.
  • Proficient in formulating and administering subcontracts and contract documents.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and internal operational systems, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
