Job Summary

At GLY Construction, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you'll be responsible for leading and managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they're completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with field supervisors, clients, subcontractors, and other team members.
  • Lead and manage project engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Work closely with field leaders to ensure timely installation and trade coordination.
  • Manage the technical engineering aspects of construction projects, including design, planning, and execution.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure completed designs meet project budget and schedule requirements.
  • Assist with estimating, scheduling, and conducting preconstruction activities.
  • Develop and leverage strengths in VDC and BIM, creating detailed drawings and work packages.
  • Review reports, including job cost, A/P projections, labor costs, and monthly job cost.
  • Assemble or supervise closeout information, as-builts, warranties, and other project documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of project engineering experience with a general contractor that self-performs work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Sharepoint, CMic, PlanGrid, SmartSheet, REVIT, NavisWorks, ACC, and OnScreen Take-Off.
  • Other specialized experience or accreditations, such as MEP, DBIA, or LEED Green Associate, are a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn and adapt to new ideas and technologies.
