Position: Corporate Counsel

Company: Spectrum Laboratories, LLC

Spectrum Laboratories, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Counsel to manage the legal dimensions of our operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our organization adheres to all relevant laws and regulations while supporting our entrepreneurial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and modify legal documents to ensure compliance and clarity for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organize and maintain a comprehensive repository of legal documents and contracts across various entities.
  • Contribute to the formulation of corporate policies and procedures, providing ongoing legal guidance on diverse matters.
  • Prepare legal documents related to intellectual property and other pertinent issues.
  • Stay informed about legislative changes that may impact the organization.
  • Oversee commercial real estate transactions, including closings, leases, and related agreements.
  • Provide timely and precise legal advice to executives on a range of topics.
  • Analyze risk versus reward in business decisions and operational strategies.
  • Structure and lead the internal legal team and its functions.
  • Assist in addressing litigation matters, collaborating with external legal counsel as necessary.
  • Supervise outside legal representation when required.

Qualifications

  • J.D. degree with at least 3 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate law.
  • Demonstrated success as Corporate Counsel within a business context.
  • Proficient in handling complex commercial real estate transactions and agreements.
  • Background in contract drafting and civil litigation, especially in landlord/tenant and breach of contract scenarios.
  • Comprehensive understanding of corporate law and its applications.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to collaborate effectively across multiple departments to enhance efficiency.
  • Enjoyment of a dynamic small business environment.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team with minimal oversight.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a commitment to professional ethics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Sound judgment and analytical skills to assess situations promptly.
  • Adaptability to a rapidly changing market landscape.
  • This position requires on-site presence and is not eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.

Compensation is negotiable within a competitive salary framework established by Spectrum Laboratories, LLC, based on industry standards and organizational benchmarks. Salary expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
