Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and modify legal documents to ensure compliance for both internal and external communications.
  • Organize and maintain a comprehensive repository of legal documents and contracts for various entities.
  • Contribute to the formulation of corporate policies and provide ongoing legal advice on diverse matters.
  • Prepare legal documents related to trademarks and other intellectual property issues.
  • Stay informed about relevant legislative changes and their implications.
  • Oversee commercial real estate transactions, including leases and other agreements.
  • Provide timely and precise legal counsel to executives on a wide range of topics.
  • Assess risks and rewards associated with business decisions and operations.
  • Structure and supervise the internal legal department and its personnel.

Essential Qualifications

  • J.D. degree with at least 3 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate law.
  • Demonstrated success as Corporate Counsel within a business context.
  • Expertise in handling complex commercial real estate transactions and agreements.
  • Proficient in contract drafting and civil litigation, particularly in landlord/tenant and breach of contract scenarios.
  • Comprehensive understanding of corporate law and operational procedures.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to collaborate effectively across multiple departments to enhance task efficiency.
  • Enjoys working in a dynamic small business setting.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a high level of professional integrity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Sound judgment with the ability to analyze information and situations promptly.
  • Adaptable to the evolving market landscape.
