Job Overview

At Workhorse Technologies Inc., we are dedicated to innovating and manufacturing high-performance, battery-electric vehicles, including trucks and aircraft, alongside advanced cloud-based telematics systems designed to enhance last-mile delivery efficiency while prioritizing environmental sustainability.

In this role, you will provide essential support to senior legal professionals by advising the organization on a diverse array of legal matters encompassing corporate law, commercial transactions, litigation, real estate, intellectual property, labor relations, data privacy, compliance, and regulatory issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and analyze various legal documents, including service agreements, non-disclosure contracts, and vendor arrangements.
  • Address intricate legal issues that intersect with business operations.
  • Collaborate with various business units to oversee projects and implement new initiatives.
  • Assist with public company securities compliance.
  • Support corporate disclosures, regulatory filings, and investigations.
  • Notify project managers regarding potential risks and their significance.
  • Identify and apply best practices to ensure timely and high-quality transaction documentation.
  • Respond to legal inquiries related to proposals and due diligence from clients.
  • Interpret applicable laws, rulings, and regulations.
  • Provide support for Mergers & Acquisitions activities.
  • Oversee external legal counsel as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid state bar certificate.
  • Licensure in the state of Ohio is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software applications.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with personnel at all levels, including executive management, peers, clients, and vendors.
  • Exhibit a polished and professional demeanor while managing confidential matters with integrity.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong research, writing, and interpersonal skills are essential.
