About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Program Assistant Site Supervisor to join our team at the Greater Somerset County YMCA. This exciting opportunity will enable you to make a positive impact in the lives of children and support the delivery of high-quality programs.

Job Summary

The Program Assistant Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations at one of our designated sites, working closely with the Site Supervisor and School Age Child Care Director. You will be instrumental in implementing an engaging daily schedule that aligns with program goals, ensuring the successful delivery of activities and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise groups of children, leading staff when applicable.
  • Assist in the opening and closing of the site on a daily basis.
  • Perform duties of the Site Supervisor in their absence.
  • Develop and implement a diverse range of activities, including Homework Time, Enrichment Activities, Organized Physical Activities, Free Play, and Snack Time.
  • Create a fun and inclusive environment for children to learn and play productively.
  • Demonstrate leadership and serve as a positive influence and role model to colleagues and staff.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and volunteers.
  • Supervise volunteers in partnership with the Site Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records and supplies for programs and activities.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have at least one year of experience working with children in a school, after-school, or camp setting.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, ability to prioritize, and work independently.
  • Show willingness to work flexibly with a collaborative team of staff members and volunteers.
  • Be committed to the goals and objectives of the Princeton Family YMCA programs.
Estimated Salary Range

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
