Greater Somerset County YMCA is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We are seeking a Program Manager for Youth Development to join our team of professionals.

Job Summary

The Program Manager for Youth Development will be responsible for supervising groups of children and leading staff when applicable. They will assist in the opening and closing of the site on a daily basis and perform the duties of the Site Supervisor in their absence from the program.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise groups of children and lead staff when applicable.
  • Assist in the opening and closing of the site on a daily basis.
  • Perform the duties of the Site Supervisor in their absence from the program.
  • Plan and implement a varied and challenging program of activities for children (ages 6-13) which includes Homework Time, Enrichment Activities, Organized Physical Activities, Free Play, and Snack Time.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • At least one year of experience working with children in a school, after school, or camp setting.
  • Exceptional group management, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience in creating interactive and educational/artistic activities, youth development, academic enrichment and arts.
Estimated Salary

$45,000 - $55,000 per year.
