Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented engineer to join our post-silicon validation team at Mindlance. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and performance of our System on Chip (SoC) silicon products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage high-volume validation tasks, including nightly regression tests.
  • Provide laboratory support for hardware configuration management and logistics.
  • Manage operations for robotic handlers.
  • Conduct IT activities related to lab management.
  • Develop automation solutions to enhance operations and scale SoC validation and integration processes.
  • Initiate and drive new validation initiatives.
  • Create automation frameworks to improve validation processes for efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with project managers, leads, users, and software engineers to refine processes and establish end-to-end automation requirements and solutions.
  • Document and formalize validation processes, including inputs, flowcharts, outputs, and dashboards, in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions as needed.
  • Address challenges related to lab infrastructure.
  • Provide support to customers as required.

Essential Skills:
  • Strong understanding of post-silicon validation methodologies and SoC concepts, including DDR, clocks, and PMIC.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment, such as thermal chambers, and their applications in post-silicon validation.
  • Proficient in managing lab hardware resources and logistics.
  • Solid IT skills, including knowledge of PCs and software configurations.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages, particularly Python.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Technologies:
  • Compiler toolchains for embedded software (e.g., LLVM or GCC).
  • Familiarity with JTAG/T32.
  • Workflow automation tools (e.g., Jenkins).
  • BI/dashboarding tools such as Splunk, SQL, and databases.
  • Documentation and ticketing tools like Jira, SharePoint, and Confluence.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift weights up to 20 pounds.
  • No forklift operation required.

Driving Requirements:
  • Occasional driving between campus buildings may be necessary to transport lab hardware.
  • Expected driving time is less than 2 hours per week.

Work Environment:
This position requires 100% onsite work, with a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM PST. The role involves a commitment of 40 hours per week.
