Job Summary

The Alaska Teacher Placement is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Elementary Education Professional to join our team at Glacier Valley Elementary School. As an Elementary Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students and contributing to a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curriculum that aligns with state and national standards.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to create a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in elementary education and implement new instructional techniques to enhance student learning.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Valid Alaska teaching certificate or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Experience in elementary education, preferably with a focus on primary differentiated instructional strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters' degree in Education or a related field.
  • Attendance at Literacy Institute or further training in the teaching of reading.
  • Successful elementary teaching experience.
