Armed Services YMCA Position Overview

Role: JBER Early Learning Teacher

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute educational programs tailored for infants, toddlers, and preschool children.
  • Guide and support a group of volunteers dedicated to enhancing parent-child interactions and social skills.
  • Organize interactive activities aimed at fostering children's development and learning.
  • Ensure a secure and enriching classroom atmosphere.
  • Engage in effective communication with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Certification or degree in early childhood or elementary education.
  • Knowledge of Alaska Early Childhood Standards.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing educational curricula.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and approval for base access.
  • This is a full-time, in-person role.
