Armed Services YMCA Position Overview

Job Title: JBER Early Learning Teacher

Role Summary:

  • Design and execute educational programs tailored for infants, toddlers, and preschool children.
  • Guide and support a group of volunteers dedicated to enhancing parent-child interactions and social skills.
  • Organize stimulating activities that foster the developmental needs of children.
  • Ensure a secure and engaging classroom atmosphere.
  • Facilitate clear communication among children, parents, and fellow educators.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Certification or degree in early childhood or elementary education.
  • Knowledge of Alaska Early Childhood Standards.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing educational curricula.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and base access approval.
  • This is a full-time, in-person role.
