Sales Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Associate to join our team at The Chefs' Warehouse. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow new sales opportunities and increase sales with existing accounts.
- Compile lists of prospective customers and conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
- Travel throughout assigned territory to meet with clients and secure orders.
- Display and demonstrate products, emphasizing their saleable features and benefits.
- Quote prices and credit terms, and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Estimate delivery dates and prepare reports of business transactions.
- Work with inside sales representatives to maintain accurate account information and literature.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, and enter new customer data and sales information into our database.
- Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts and negotiate sales agreements.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the food industry.
- Previous experience in restaurant, food sales, or professional catering, or working as a chef is highly desirable.
- High energy, positive attitude, and strong team player profile.
- Ability to foster a positive and innovative atmosphere, encouraging team members to go beyond the call of duty.
- Driven and motivated to take responsibility and achieve successful outcomes.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and initiatives.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop a culture of participation and involvement.
- Self-starter, with the ability to learn new skills quickly and ask questions when needed.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
- College degree desired but not required.
- Candidates must live in the assigned geographic sales area.
