Job Title: Trade Sales Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Trade Sales Representative to join our team at Pella Mid-Atlantic. As a Trade Sales Representative, you will be responsible for building relationships with builders, contractors, architects, and other trade professionals to promote our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve individual sales goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with trade professionals through networking, lead generation, and referrals.
  • Represent Pella at company-sponsored events, trade association meetings, and builder home shows.
  • Generate sales by acquiring new customers while building loyalty within existing customer relationships.
  • Respond to client concerns and apply independent decision-making while striving for first-time resolution on all client problems/issues.
  • Maintain exceptional levels of expertise on Pella's products and services, as well as stay abreast of the competitive landscape.
  • Strive to build strong customer relationships by engaging in a consultative sales approach to recommend products and solutions that satisfy customer needs.
  • Ensure quotes and orders are accurate following company sales procedures.
  • Educate customers on manufacturer installation guidelines and measuring of openings to ensure accuracy of product ordering and applications.
  • Leverage other Pella team members/departments to assist with specific product requirements.
  • Thank clients and encourage a continuing relationship by acting as their central point of contact.
  • Understand and adhere to the Trade Selling Process in all aspects of sales-related interactions.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to ensure successful after-sale service requirements and installations.
  • Interact with Account Receivable department to address any potential billing/payment issues of customers.
  • Utilize CRM systems to manage all customer interactions and proactively communicate with customers.
  • Occasionally work variable, non-traditional hours and make yourself available for customers during evenings and weekends.
