Job Title: HMI Applications Engineer

Job Summary:

As an HMI Applications Engineer at Inframark, you will be responsible for developing application software to meet project contractual documents while adhering to our Project Methodology. You will work closely with the HMI Application Engineering Supervisor and Project Manager to receive project requirements and direction. Your primary goal will be to produce timely, accurate project documentation and follow established Best Practices and Development Standards and Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Human-Machine Interface (HMI) application software per the contract documents and System Control Narrative using Third-Party software development packages.
• Set up the project system servers, workstations, operating system, networks, and peripheral equipment at the job site.
• Install all developed application software and required vendor software and verify their proper execution.
• Interface equipment to third-party vendor systems via industrial communication protocols.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
• Demonstrate overall system functionality to the Owner/Engineer/Contractor including hardware and network operation, SCADA monitoring and control, displaying data, alarming, and historical data collection for report generation.
• Develop custom Operational and State Reports per the Customer's requirements.
• Provide training to operators, supervisors, and administrative personnel.
• Generate and gather all required final project documentation.
• Provide technical assistance to Customers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in Engineering is preferred.
• A minimum 2 years of experience in HMI/SCADA programming, preferably in the Water & Wastewater industry.
• HMI Application Engineers must have knowledge and experience with Microsoft operating systems, networks, and HMI configuration software (System Platform w/ OMI, InTouch, Ignition, VTScada, iFix, FactoryTalk View SE).
• Good communications skills and the ability to work well with other are essential.

Work Environment:

The job is performed both indoors at the office and at the job-site. Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer monitor. This job includes the potential of working irregular hours with on-call availability to troubleshoot project startup and warranty problems.

Travel:

Travel is required on a regular basis to start up, test, and demonstrate SCADA monitoring and control systems.
