Position Overview

The Operations Executive is tasked with executing the operational strategy and production management while leading all facets of Operations, Customer Support, Delivery, Engineering, and Administrative functions within the organization. This role requires the establishment of effective collaboration among operations, delivery, logistics, sales, and service teams. The Operations Executive is responsible for developing, implementing, and adhering to operational policies that align with the standards of Division Laundry & Cleaners Inc. to foster continuous improvement across various performance metrics, including safety, quality, cost efficiency, delivery, human resources, and organizational growth. This position supervises the Plant Manager across all shifts and collaborates closely with the Controller, Vice President, and President on operational matters and financial assessments for the facility. Furthermore, the Operations Executive serves as the primary point of contact for customer executives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide Managers and Supervisors.
  • Identify and recommend qualified candidates to form a high-performing operations team, while consistently promoting teamwork among staff to meet financial objectives.
  • Foster and sustain motivation among team members to achieve financial goals.
  • Maintain organization to ensure effective oversight, direction, and management of all Operations, Customer Support, Administrative, Engineering, and Delivery personnel to fulfill the organization's objectives.
  • Execute strategic business operations plans through ongoing improvement and leadership accountability in areas such as safety, quality, delivery, cost management, human resources, and growth.
  • Develop and nurture positive relationships with Service and Sales teams to guarantee exceptional product quality, service, and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze, plan, and manage operational costs, including linen, labor, utilities, transportation, and production supplies, to effectively oversee company assets within budget while ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with all employees.
  • Ensure that company development initiatives are fully realized through proactive engagement and independent judgment.
  • Supervise and direct employee recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and address employee productivity and disciplinary matters.
  • Communicate effectively in person, via phone, and through email.
  • Exhibit friendly and respectful behavior in the workplace.
  • Prepare and maintain financial and operational reports.
  • Plan and oversee Capital Expenditures.
Supervisory Duties

The Operations Executive is responsible for supervising Team Leads, Production Supervisors, Plant Managers, Logistics, Office Managers, and all related personnel.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of management experience at a General Manager level or equivalent.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic planning capabilities, and adept problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage with customers, suppliers, and employees.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and success in operational management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with laundry or processing equipment.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Pass a background check and drug screening in accordance with applicable regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive leadership experience in a healthcare services environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Travel Requirements

This position may require occasional travel. Employees are responsible for submitting expense reports for travel-related expenditures.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to reach, stoop, bend, kneel, twist, and crouch to handle and file documents.
  • Physical requirements include constant standing and frequent walking throughout the work shift.
  • Frequent use of telephone and fax.
  • Ability to navigate within the office to access files, copy machines, and attend meetings.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary in specific areas.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders to assess plant and customer locations.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Required to wear and utilize personal protective equipment as needed.
  • Ability to hear for safety and awareness of surroundings.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands throughout the entire shift.
  • Position requires considerable sitting, typing, and the ability to lift objects weighing less than 25 pounds.
Work Environment

This role primarily exists within a plant environment, with occasional office duties. The plant environment may be warm and includes exposure to noise, wet areas, chemicals, and other hazards.
