Medical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Southern Immediate Care Inc. as a PRN Medical Assistant. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in preparing for each patient visit by reviewing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support to nurses and medical staff, and assisting with tracking tests and lab results to ensure timely delivery and patient notification.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Visit Preparation: Review patient charts, pull notes, and set up medical equipment to ensure a smooth patient experience.
- Instrument Maintenance: Clean and maintain medical instruments and equipment after use to maintain a sterile environment.
- Communication: Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries, identifying visit needs and providing accurate information.
- Supportive Care: Assist nurses and doctors with basic medical care and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and well-being.
- Administrative Tasks: Track lab results, call in prescriptions, and perform other basic medical office duties.
- Certification: BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
