We are currently looking for a Renewable Energy Sales Specialist to enhance solar system sales while working remotely in Illinois . This role will focus on engaging rural residential, agricultural, and small business clients. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying potential customers, crafting solar energy proposals, and executing transactions that align with the company's sales objectives. You will interact directly with customers, guiding them through the entire sales journey and ensuring outstanding service and opportunities for referrals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop expertise in the technical aspects of our products.
  • Manage all sales processes and customer relations within your designated area, including securing signed agreements and payments.
  • Conduct site evaluations and assessments to gather necessary information for proposals and agreements.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to end users, focus groups, and at trade shows.
  • Create and implement strategies for products and services that fulfill customer needs.
  • Negotiate and finalize sales agreements.
  • Build a portfolio of long-term clients in your area.
  • Collaborate with the central office teams including Sales, Marketing, Technical Support, Finance, and Construction.
  • Engage in strategic marketing and business development initiatives to enhance customer awareness.
  • Regularly meet with and report to your supervisor.
  • Coordinate with local utilities for interconnection applications.
  • Work with local authorities for zoning and permitting applications.
  • Maintain a proactive, positive, and engaging demeanor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:

Work Environment:
  • Expectation of day travel up to 80% of the time, with occasional overnight travel. Transportation costs will be reimbursed.
  • This position is primarily home-based, with some time spent in a home office.
