Job Summary

Pattern Energy Group is seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Finance Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in structuring transactions, conducting due diligence, and analyzing financial data to support the development and operation of our renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to analyze renewable energy projects and identify key investment drivers.
  • Lead the development of structured finance products, including tax equity investments, to support project financing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and quantify key investment drivers and perform sensitivities.
  • Drive development activities and asset due diligence efforts to ensure accurate project valuation and risk assessment.
  • Perform general research duties and statistical analysis to support investment decisions.
  • Analyze market risk factors, pricing, and risk management products to optimize project returns.
  • Support treasury and capital planning functions to ensure optimal project financing.
  • Participate in meetings with internal and external clients to present investment opportunities and provide financial analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or related field, combined with at least 4-6 years of project finance analytical/modeling experience.
  • Advanced degree and/or CFA certification is optional.
  • Project finance acquisition, management, or transaction experience preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and understanding of relevant financial and mathematical modeling techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present financial analysis and investment opportunities.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with a team-first attitude.
  • Ability to synthesize and organize large amounts of data to inform investment decisions.

The expected starting pay range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000 USD, with a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
