Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Applications Development Chemist to join our team. As an Applications Development Chemist at allnex, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to our customers and collaborating with our Sales and Marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Development: Evaluate new resin systems and provide insights for our Research and Development team.
  • Project Management: Involved in the technical aspects of development and commercialization of our products.
  • Portfolio Knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of our products and market trends.
  • Technical Data: Assist in organizing technical and environmental data.
  • Expertise: Provide technical support to our Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Industry Representation: Represent allnex in industry forums and conferences.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Formulation/Application Experience: Product development and structure-property relationships.
  • Coatings/Paint Laboratory Experience: Pigment milling, formulation preparation, material characterizations, etc.
  • Laboratory Safety Protocols: Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and equipment.
  • Experimental Planning and Data Analysis: Proficiency in experimental planning and data analysis.
  • Domestic Travel: Availability for domestic travel (10-15%).

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's or bachelor's degree in a scientific field, preferably chemistry.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Physical Demands: Employee must meet physical requirements to perform job functions.
  • Ability to Lift: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform various physical tasks.
  • Work Environment: Lab environment with noise, dust, and safety hazards.
