Position Summary:
The Director of Application Services is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight of the organization's application ecosystem. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of both internal and external technology systems that support our diverse business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Vision: Formulate and articulate a comprehensive strategy for the management of information systems that aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Application Lifecycle Management: Supervise the complete lifecycle of applications, from inception through to decommissioning, ensuring they meet business requirements.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Guide and mentor a team of application professionals, fostering a collaborative environment across various departments.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that applications fulfill user needs and adhere to established quality benchmarks, while continuously seeking opportunities for enhancement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT leadership capacity, particularly in application development and management.
  • Demonstrated success in project management and team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of software development practices and familiarity with various programming languages and frameworks.
  • Experience in integrating applications across multiple platforms.
  • Proficient in database management and data modeling.
  • Understanding of cloud computing platforms and security best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
