Job Summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in various settings, including clinics, testing, pulmonary rehab, and inpatient consults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' respiratory needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement and evaluate respiratory therapy plans, including pulmonary function testing (PFT) and respiratory patient education
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Provide instruction and education to patients and families on respiratory care and disease management
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment plans
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy from a CoARC-accredited program
  • 2 years of prior experience in respiratory therapy
  • Registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Current VT State license
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association
  • ACLS preferred or plan to acquire within one (1) year
  • CPFT preferred or plan to acquire within two (2) years
  • Certified Asthma Educator preferred or plan to acquire within two (2) years
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of respiratory equipment and mechanical ventilation management
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to all aspects of patient care
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills
Compensation

$39.98 per hour
