Category Insights Specialist

MPG II, LLC is seeking a skilled Category Analyst to join our team. As a critical member of the Walmart category advisor team, you will play a key role in developing winning category growth strategies and modular execution. Your ability to deliver best-in-class insights, presentations, and category/marketplace assessments will be essential in supporting Walmart's analytical needs and translating those insights into strategies and actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly omnichannel category performance reports, providing insightful analysis for Walmart and/or clients.
- Support the buyer and team through the entire modular development process, including line review assistance, category and assortment analysis, store traiting, and post-modular and promotional analysis.
- Utilize various syndicated and Walmart data sources, such as Nielsen and Luminate, effectively to drive decision-making processes.
- Champion the development and automation of data processes, reports, and dashboards to enhance reporting efficiency and data accessibility.
Requirements:
- Hold at least 2 years of experience in Sales Analytics and/or Category Management, with direct exposure to Walmart data systems such as Luminate.
- Excel and PowerPoint expertise are essential, while proficiency in space management tools like JDA and Shelf IQ is a plus.
- Exhibit effective project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects concurrently, and ensure project progress.
- Possess strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- 4-year degree preferred.
