As a Retail Space Planner, you will drive analytical thought process to optimize assortments and maximize profit. Your expertise in space management processes and analytical tools will enable you to execute strategies and tactics effectively.




  • Maximize Inside Store Profitability: Utilize data-driven analysis to highlight areas for improvement and expected benefit of assortment and space-based strategies.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert: Demonstrate expertise in space management processes and analytical tools such as Excel, PowerBI, or SQL.
  • Lead Planogram Creation: Utilize data-driven analysis to create and distribute reports to Senior Leadership on key strategic initiatives and products.
  • Collaborate with Category Management: Identify potential opportunities and drive recommendations to improve sales and productivity of space.
  • Develop Financial Plans: Create cluster or store-specific planograms based on initial assortment plans and ensure alignment with corporate, department, and category strategies.
  • Provide Training: Generate robust data sets from internal data warehouses via SQL and Power BI to support well-reasoned business decisions.
  • Address Store-Specific Issues: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of cross-functional teams.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Provide outstanding internal customer service to Operations, Category Management, and Information Systems.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Proficiency in Space Planning Software: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Ability to Navigate Large Datasets: Proven ability to navigate and process large datasets to produce actionable insights.
  • High-Level Understanding of Category Management: Collaborate with retail customers, key suppliers, and internal teams to deliver insights and recommendations within six key domains.
  • Assertive Leadership: High energy level, aptitude for understanding changing market dynamics, and resolving complex problems.
  • Excellent Analytical Skills: Provide insights into performance and efficiency opportunities.
  • Bachelor's Degree and Experience: Adult Beverage with an understanding of National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor operations.
