Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Engineer II to join our team at FLSmidth & Co. A/S. As a Field Engineer II, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our dosing and weighing equipment and packing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advisory services for the installation, checkout, and commissioning of FLSmidth equipment.
  • Guide customers in practicing correct operations and maintenance procedures.
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, and process troubleshooting of the relevant equipment and provide accurate diagnostic assessments.
  • Develop and implement action plans to support successful project/service completion.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and training plans for internal and external use.
  • Represent FLSmidth in a professional manner and interface with various company and customer personnel.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales of service programs and spare parts orders.
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner and in compliance with applicable safety rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with complex dosing, weighing, and packing systems for bulk material handling in the cement, mining, or related industries.
  • Experience with PLC-based control systems, electronics, and instrumentation.
  • Good mechanical and process aptitude to identify and resolve technical challenges.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, contractors, coworkers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and implement effective time management on service sites.
  • Flexibility with work schedule and change in assignment locations.
  • Capability to develop and deliver technical training seminars to small or large groups.
  • Use of business software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid USA passport or foreign passport with USA work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical engineering.
  • Consideration will also be given to candidates with Associate degrees in similar disciplines.
  • Relevant and significant industry experience may be substituted for formal education in special cases.
