Your Role:
As a Field Parts Sales Representative, your primary responsibility will be to drive business growth within your designated territory by establishing and nurturing customer relationships while uncovering new business prospects. You will dedicate over 50% of your time outside the office engaging in active sales of parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of VVG products and pricing.
- Identify potential leads, manage prospects, and secure new business opportunities.
- Conduct visits to existing customers while actively seeking new clientele.
- Relay parts orders to inside sales personnel.
- Achieve or surpass new business sales targets.
- Engage in prospecting activities to arrange initial and follow-up meetings with decision-makers.
- Document and schedule all sales activities.
- Prepare and finalize sales documentation and necessary paperwork for prompt sales completion.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activities, responding proactively.
- Regularly meet with the sales supervisor to discuss weekly sales efforts, progress towards goals, and updates on potential customers.
- Inform parts staff of any unique customer requirements.
- Follow up on parts orders to ensure the department meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- Act as a public relations representative for VVG.
- Uphold high standards of customer service.
- Address customer complaints and facilitate conflict resolution.
- Visit customers to ensure strong and lasting relationships.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in service or parts departments within the trucking sector.
- Technical experience is preferred.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities.
- Must successfully pass a post-offer drug screening.
