Job Title: Outside Parts Salesperson

About the Role:

As an Outside Parts Salesperson at Velocity Vehicle Group, you will be responsible for generating business within your assigned territory by developing and maintaining customer contacts and identifying new business opportunities. You will spend over 50% of your time outside the office actively selling parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of BusWest products and pricing.
  • Identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business.
  • Visit assigned customers and prospect for new ones.
  • Communicate parts orders to inside parts salespeople.
  • Meet or exceed new business sales goals.
  • Conduct prospecting activities to secure initial and follow-up appointments with decision-makers.
  • Schedule and document activities.
  • Prepare and draft sales documentation and other necessary paperwork to complete sales promptly.
  • Stay aware of market behavior and competitive trends, and respond accordingly.
  • Regularly meet with the sales supervisor to review weekly sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers.
  • Advise parts personnel of any special customer needs.
  • Follow up on parts orders to ensure the parts department meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Act as a public relations liaison for BusWest.
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards.
  • Resolve customer complaints and provide conflict resolution.
  • Visit customers to ensure and maintain excellent customer relations.

Requirements:

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in service or parts departments of the trucking industry.
  • Technician experience.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Leadership & Teamwork qualities.
