Outside Parts Sales Representative

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Outside Parts Salesperson to join our team at Velocity Vehicle Group. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating business within your assigned territory by developing and maintaining customer contacts and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of BusWest products and pricing.
- Identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business.
- Visit assigned customers and prospect for new ones.
- Communicate parts orders to inside parts salespeople.
- Meet or exceed new business sales goals.
- Conduct prospecting activities to secure initial and follow-up appointments with decision-makers.
- Schedule and document activities.
- Prepare and draft sales documentation and other necessary paperwork to complete sales promptly.
- Stay aware of market behavior and competitive trends, and respond accordingly.
- Regularly meet with the sales supervisor to review weekly sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers.
- Advise parts personnel of any special customer needs.
- Follow up on parts orders to ensure the parts department meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- Act as a public relations liaison for BusWest.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards.
- Resolve customer complaints and provide conflict resolution.
- Visit customers to ensure and maintain excellent customer relations.
Requirements:
- Five (5) or more years of experience in service or parts departments of the trucking industry.
- Technician experience.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Leadership & Teamwork qualities.
