Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Account Executive to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for increasing SSC's revenues by developing new and existing clients for our sustainable business services. This is a remote position with occasional work travel and on-site collaborative meetings as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new accounts and achieve sales targets for SSC services
  • Strategically engage customers to build key relationships and create the foundation for consulting sales
  • Lead generation and pipeline management
  • Closing opportunities in a timely and managed process
  • Collaboration across SSC's stakeholders within the various teams to develop budgets and scope of work
  • Ensure quality control and accuracy of CRM records
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred
  • 3-5+ years sales experience or more in manufacturing, building construction, environmental, or sustainability field
  • A passion for sales and competency in positioning services at C levels within organizations
  • Ability to build relationships through education and ability to sell technical sustainability strategies
  • Understanding of sustainability industry pricing models
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to generate over $2 million+ in sales per year
  • Demonstrated ability to generate sales leads
  • Experience using CRMs to manage contracts, leads, and deals
  • Preference for sustainable operations and/or LEED building experience
  • Strong presentation and technical writing skills
  • Self-starter with ability to learn on the job
  • Strong computer skills- proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
What We Offer
  • This role ranges from $85-100k/year base salary with additional commission structure. Your starting salary can fluctuate based on experience.
