Pump Shop Manager Job Description

ChampionX is seeking a highly skilled Pump Shop Manager to lead our facility operations in Carlsbad, NM. This role will oversee production, field service, quality, and shipping and receiving functions, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Service Technicians to ensure safety, quality, and efficient operations.
  • Schedule Service Technicians and control field-related costs, auditing field reports (time, mileage, and quality).
  • Develop and/or review quotes and repair plans based on length of repair and parts and labor availability.
  • Communicate with customers, develop claims as required, and maintain strong relationships through frequent and professional communication.
  • Manage Service vehicle inventory, allocate available inventory to maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing stock-out conditions.
  • Create and analyze product failure analysis reports.
  • Drive and contribute to the department's continuous improvement culture.
  • Coach and mentor direct reports, assess performance, and provide feedback.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license in state of residence required.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience, with at least two years in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical and critical thinking skills, math skills, negotiation skills, organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Managing people.
Work Environment:

Some work is accomplished indoors and in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities. Work may include visits to customer office or field locations, and may require visits to customer field locations in various weather and temperature conditions.
