Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of the Firemen's Association of the State of New York in Albany. As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations (GAAP)
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies that support the growth and success of the organization
- Provide financial analysis and guidance to stakeholders to support decision-making processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance
- QuickBooks experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
