Job Description

Account Service Manager - Pharmacy Account Management

This role is responsible for providing advanced customer service representation and strategic planning for large accounts in the pharmacy industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic planning and account management for large pharmacy accounts.
  • Direct and manage the administration of contractual requirements and obligations.
  • Manage the new and renewal implementation process for pharmacy accounts.
  • Interface with operations to ensure smooth delivery of services.
  • Maintain ongoing account relationships at multiple levels throughout the customers' organizations.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to meet customers' expectations.
  • Provide both on-site and off-site customer service, which may include interpreting plan design, researching and resolving phone and written inquiries, resolving claims, benefit and enrollment issues.
  • Coordinate open enrollment meetings, renewal process and training sessions.
  • Make routine account visits.

Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 3 years of experience managing business operations and/or customer relationship; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Experience working in the managed care/healthcare insurance industry most notably in pharmacy benefits; PBM experience strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, problem-solving skills, and adaptability highly preferred.
  • Proven ability in collaborating with cross-functional teams and coordinate efforts towards common goals strongly preferred.
  • Experience interacting confidently with senior management and executive level stakeholders, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making preferred.
  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, MS Teams, CRM tools and Salesforce highly preferred.

Salary Range: $68,124 to $116,784

Location: New York

Work Environment: Hybrid workforce strategy, with a requirement to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week
