Territory Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Sales Manager to join our team at Genuine Parts Company. As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing a territory of NAPA Auto Parts Stores, providing sales support and guidance to store owners and their installer customers, and driving business growth through effective sales strategies and customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Manage NAPA program implementations to enable store owners and their installer customers to increase their market share and achieve profitability.
- Present, communicate, and sell NAPA Sales, Marketing, and Training programs to store owners and their installer customers.
- Achieve territory sales quota and provide training to store employees on the proper implementation and utilization of NAPA programs.
- Work in an advisor and business partner role with store owners, building long-term relationships and providing guidance on inventory management and sales strategies.
- Prepare stores to manage effective inventory levels and create a roadmap for all store activities, including moves, store revamps, modernizations, and open houses.
- Engage store personnel in training on utilization of NAPA programs and operational procedures of distribution centers.
- Implement the NAPA inventory effectiveness program and assist store owners and employees in fully utilizing point of sale and inventory planning systems.
- College degree preferred or equivalent sales experience.
- Understand and demonstrate basic selling skills, including preparing for sales calls, managing customer/sales meetings, and handling customer resistance.
- Prior experience in the Automotive Aftermarket or other industry where you managed a territory or retail experience in the automotive industry.
- 2+ years' experience in a customer-focused role where you managed accounts.
- Demonstrate professionalism, good judgment, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to communicate, present, and persuade, with problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrate organizational and planning skills, with time management, meeting deadlines, and a sense of urgency.
