Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Answer multiple incoming patient phone lines and triage calls accordingly, scheduling appointments and providing requested information.

  • Offer support to the check-in and check-out receptionists, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to our high standards of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Report urgent issues and patient emergencies to the office manager or physician(s) in a timely manner.
  • Initiate problem-solving and take proactive steps to ensure patient, physician, and staff satisfaction.
  • Learn the responsibilities of other positions in the business office and be willing to adapt to changing needs.
  • Attend required meetings and participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • One year of prior work experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical business office procedures and medical terminology is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as assigned, including day shifts with no evenings, weekends, or holidays.
