Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Staff Coordinator to join our team at Akron Children's Hospital. This role will provide administrative support to the Medical Staff Services department, ensuring the smooth operation of medical staff credentialing, privileging, and onboarding processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the coordination and development of medical staff policies and procedures.
  • Support the review and maintenance of hospital departments and chair search committees.
  • Work with Medical Staff leaders to coordinate meetings, support internal communication, and prepare agendas and minutes.
  • Assist with hospital mandatories, including medical staff orientation and dues.
  • Provide support and backup to the Manager of Medical Staff Services.
Requirements
  • Experience in credentialing practices, medical staff organization, and managed care organizations is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office or similar software is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in an applicable discipline, with experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
