Job Summary:

The Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors, while ensuring the efficient operational flow of our department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-person greetings and welcome newly admitted and transferred patients to the unit.
  • Communicate and facilitate communication between patients, families, other departments, and healthcare team members regarding patient care.
  • Process patient admissions, transfers, and discharges in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide concierge service to assist patients and families with wayfinding and direct them to available resources.
  • Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care.
  • Assist with unit clerical functions and troubleshoot equipment failures.
  • Respond to patient call lights in a manner that expedites appropriate follow-through as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized nursing station, including wiping down counters, phones, and keyboards.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a customer service-related role.
  • Microsoft Office experience preferred.

Work Environment:

This role requires the ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. The successful candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision and have critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Personal Protective Equipment:

The Cleveland Clinic follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
