Position: Senior Elastic Engineer
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: On-site

Role Summary:

At Lumifi Cyber, we prioritize the implementation of effective cybersecurity measures, concentrating on the development of resilient and dependable infrastructures. We are in search of a Senior Elastic Engineer who will be instrumental in constructing a new Elastic framework. This role encompasses the design and execution of efficient search and data analytics solutions, while ensuring peak system performance and scalability. Your expertise will be vital in establishing and sustaining a stable and effective system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Elasticsearch Cluster Oversight:
    • Lead the creation and upkeep of Elasticsearch clusters.
    • Guarantee high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization of Elasticsearch systems.
  • Backend Development:
    • Design and maintain backend systems utilizing modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
    • Emphasize the development of scalable and efficient backend services and APIs.
  • Data Management and Ingestion:
    • Oversee the ingestion of network data into the Elastic Stack (ELK – Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Airflow).
    • Enhance data processing pipelines and storage solutions.
  • Quality Assurance and Automated Testing:
    • Create and uphold automated unit and integration tests to ensure software integrity and reliability.
    • Engage in code reviews and quality assurance practices.
  • Microservices Architecture:
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a distributed microservices architecture.
    • Ensure that microservices are well-structured, efficient, and seamlessly integrated.
  • Document system functionalities, APIs, and operational procedures for both users and the development team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in TypeScript (ES6+) development, with a strong focus on backend development.
  • Extensive knowledge of Elasticsearch, including:
    • Designing and establishing Elasticsearch clusters from the ground up.
    • Configuring indexes and managing sharding and partitioning strategies.
    • Implementing aliases and enhancing cluster performance.
    • Experience in Elasticsearch cluster maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with the Elastic Stack:
    • Hands-on experience with the entire Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), particularly in configuring and managing these tools in production settings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze problems and think critically.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
