Position Overview

We are looking for skilled Behavioral Technicians to deliver exceptional ABA Therapy to children diagnosed with autism.

Qualifications Required:

  • Education: High School Diploma or College Degree is necessary.
  • Certification: RBT certification must be obtained before client interaction.
  • Experience: Preferred one year of experience as an ABA therapist or working with children with disabilities/autism.
  • Reliability: Consistency and dependability are essential for success.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with autism and behavioral interventions is advantageous.
  • Professionalism: Integrity and professionalism are paramount in this role.
  • Positive Attitude: A cheerful and patient demeanor is crucial.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication in English is required.
  • Background Check: Must be willing to undergo a background check.
  • Transportation: A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license are necessary for commuting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of performing tasks that require fine and gross motor skills, including bending, kneeling, squatting, sitting on the floor, or standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to respond quickly within short distances (100 feet) to manage client behaviors.
  • Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one ABA therapy sessions to early learners and young adults with autism and developmental disabilities in various settings.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior interventions for clients aged 2 to 21.
  • Conduct discrete trials and utilize diverse skill-building methods aligned with treatment goals.
  • Collect and document behavioral data and skill acquisition during sessions.
  • Engage in clinical team meetings and ongoing training.
  • Collaborate with a BCBA to execute ABA therapy procedures effectively.
  • Maintain open communication with the BCBA, fellow RBTs, clinical directors, and families to support client needs.
  • Receive supervision from a BCBA for a minimum of 5% of services provided.
  • Uphold professional boundaries with clients and families.
  • Adhere to the BACB Ethical Compliance Code for RBTs.
  • Effectively manage conflicts and challenging situations.
  • Maintain proactive communication with supervisors for guidance and feedback.
