Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Quality Control Lab Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that high-quality products are delivered to the market in accordance with relevant ISO standards. This is achieved through precise, reproducible, and efficient analysis of raw materials, intermediate products, and final outputs, alongside active participation in process control.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive chemical and physical assessments of raw materials, intermediate products, and final outputs to verify compliance with established standards and specifications, generating accurate testing documentation. This includes, but is not limited to, automated and manual titration, viscosity measurements, FTIR spectroscopy, pH testing, tensile strength assessments, and evaluations of physical properties such as hardness and resilience.
  • Maintain and service laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Adhere to proper laboratory documentation practices and maintain compliance with laboratory notebook standards.
  • Support process control efforts to guarantee that all necessary testing and documentation are completed to validate product conformity.
  • Engage in project support activities, including statistical analysis, investigation assistance, and testing of validation samples.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a quality control laboratory and manufacturing setting, or an associate degree in chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with analytical testing methodologies, practices, and the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Office) is essential.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in English is required; bilingual skills in Spanish are advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, with the capacity to frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Good manual dexterity is necessary for laboratory techniques.
  • Use of a respirator (full/half face) may be required for specific tasks.

Work Environment:

  • Work will be conducted in a chemical laboratory setting, with potential exposure to various chemicals, including cyanoacrylates and organic solvents.
  • Compliance with all laboratory and company safety protocols is mandatory, including adherence to the Lone Worker policy and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
