Job Overview:

Becker Wright Consultants is in search of a proficient Project Lead to enhance our operations and elevate our brand presence in Central Texas. The successful applicant will demonstrate expertise in project management techniques and tools, with a strong emphasis on achieving project objectives within defined scope, budget, and timeline. Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities are essential, enabling the candidate to navigate conflicts and complex negotiations effectively.

Minimum Starting Salary: $60,600.00 to $90,000. Salary will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Position Summary:

The Project Lead will cultivate client relationships and ensure exemplary customer service with both internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities encompass overseeing all facets of project execution, from initial development and estimate reviews to project completion and finalization.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage interactions with key stakeholders, including clients, engineers, architects, detailers, and construction teams, to identify potential challenges and devise solutions.
  • Analyze plans and proposals to establish appropriate strategies for achieving departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Document all project details meticulously.
  • Track project costs and engage with project executives and senior management regarding budgetary considerations.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual terms and obligations.
  • Adhere to AISC policies and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate accounting for project change orders, including budget estimations for such changes.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Familiarity with the steel construction sector, including AISC standards and AWS codes.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to evolving circumstances.
  • Proficient in interpreting construction blueprints.
  • Proactive in anticipating needs before they emerge.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Experience in project management within the construction or manufacturing sectors.
