- Registration and Scheduling: Accurately and efficiently register patients for outpatient services, including verifying demographic and insurance information, and obtaining necessary signatures.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure that all necessary information is obtained and that patients are prepared for their appointments.
- Problem-Solving: Utilize strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues and concerns that may arise during the registration process.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
- Experience: Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Skills: Proficient in the use of computers, with typing speed of 35 wpm; knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans.
